Growth Engineer

Own growth and product analytics end-to-end. Build the instrumentation, integrations, and experiments that drive acquisition and retention — from ad platform APIs to conversion funnels.

About the role

We're looking for a technical Growth Engineer to own the intersection of growth, analytics, and engineering. You'll build the systems that help us understand how users find Booka, what makes them convert, and where we're leaving opportunity on the table.

This isn't a traditional marketing role — you'll be writing code, integrating APIs, and building dashboards alongside running experiments and optimizing funnels. You'll work closely with engineering and product to instrument the platform, connect performance marketing tools, and turn data into decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain integrations with performance marketing platforms — Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Google Ads — including conversion tracking, audience syncing, and attribution.
  • Own product analytics infrastructure: event tracking, funnel analysis, cohort reporting, and experimentation frameworks.
  • Set up and manage analytics tooling (PostHog or similar) across web and mobile.
  • Design and run growth experiments — A/B tests, landing page variations, referral loops, and onboarding optimizations.
  • Build internal dashboards and reporting that give the team real-time visibility into acquisition, activation, and retention metrics.
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure clean, consistent event instrumentation across the product.
  • Analyze user behavior and funnel data to identify growth opportunities and inform product decisions.
  • Manage paid campaign infrastructure: tracking pixels, server-side events, CAPI integrations, and UTM attribution.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background — comfortable writing TypeScript/JavaScript and working with APIs.
  • Hands-on experience integrating with ad platform APIs (Meta CAPI, Google Ads conversion tracking, TikTok Events API).
  • Experience with product analytics tools and event-based tracking systems.
  • Solid understanding of attribution models, conversion funnels, and growth metrics (CAC, LTV, activation rates).
  • Ability to write SQL and work directly with data to answer questions and build reports.
  • Experience running A/B tests and growth experiments with statistical rigor.
  • Strong product sense — you understand what to measure and why it matters.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, early-stage environment where you'll define processes from scratch.

Nice to have

  • Experience with PostHog — feature flags, session replay, funnels, and experimentation.
  • Familiarity with server-side tracking and privacy-compliant data flows.
  • Experience with Next.js, Vercel Analytics, or similar web frameworks and tooling.
  • Background in performance marketing with hands-on campaign management experience.
  • Experience building growth systems at a marketplace or booking platform.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing or ETL pipelines for marketing data.
